Guidelines for Authors

We realise that virtual conferences come with their own challenges, including the ways authors share information. To that end, we are busy preparing helpful guides for speakers and poster presenters – keep an eye out for these in your inbox soon! If you want some idea of how your material will look at our conference, check out Hopin’s useful intro video or this short guide on best practice. Poster presenters (located in the “Expo” section) may also find this tutorial useful.

A Word From Our Sponsors…

Be sure to check out the virtual exhibition centre at EAC2021 where you can learn about cutting-edge technology and chat with representatives from our exceptional line-up of sponsors. We are particularly proud to welcome our Silver Sponsors. Here’s a taste of what they have to offer…

Dekati will be exhibiting at the virtual EAC 2021 showing a range of products and measurement solutions for real-time fine particle measurements and aerosol sample conditioning. Visit us in the exhibition area and chat with our experts online, or see more details in our website.

GRIMM Aerosol Technik stands for 40 years of competence and experience in aerosol science and technology. Visit our booth and meet our experts to discuss optimal solutions for your applications. In oral presentations, Mr Ziegler will give you better insight into EDM 264 in Session AMT4 (31/08/2021) and Gerhard Steiner into PSMPS in Session AMT7 (01/09/2021).

The Acoem Group will be presenting at the virtual EAC2021 exhibition. They will be demonstrating their products and services that prevent air, noise, and vibration pollution to help companies and public authorities limit their environmental impact. For further information on how Acoem’s products and services can increase the productivity and reliability of industrial machinery and deliver on sustainability objectives visit their EAC2021 exhibition booth or the Acoem website.

Announcing the EAC2021 Junior Scientist Poster Award

We are excited to announce a new award at EAC2021! To be eligible, you must be an early career scientist (e.g. a student or within 5 years of earning your PhD) who is presenting a poster at the virtual conference.

Posters will be judged on three criteria: scientific content (50%), graphical presentation (25%), and delivery during session (25%).

In order to be considered, eligible poster presenters are invited to self-nominate using this form. Please note that posters will have to be uploaded in .pdf format to Conftool ahead of the conference (more detailed guidelines to come). While the traditional conference poster style is fine, we encourage creative use of alternative presentation styles (e.g. slide deck)!

Reminder: Young Investigator Network Event at EAC2021

The early registration window for this year’s EAC2021 is coming to an end and we, the organizers of the Young Investigator Network (YIN) Event, would like to take another opportunity to spark your interest for our event. This year we would like to put the spotlight on work life balance in academia. The event will start with an introductory talk by Desiree Dickerson, PhD and continue with small round table discussions and time to network and connect with fellow young scientists. The event is aimed at early career scientists and doctoral students and the participation is included in the registration fee for the EAC2021 thanks to generous support from TSI. — The GAeF YIN Organisation Team

Thank you to our gold and silver sponsors!

Meet with representatives from these companies and many more in our virtual exhibition centre on the Hopin conference platform!

In good (virtual) hands: Hopin, the virtual event platform we have chosen to host EAC2021, has a stellar reputation for elevating online gatherings through a streamlined user interface, a variety of interactive features, and eye-catching branding. But don’t take our word for it! In a recent WomenTech Global Conference attended by over 100,000 participants, the platform scored an impressive 9.6/10.
